This Valentine’s day the Moon will be in vivacious, loveable Leo adding some much-needed fire energy to the current cosmic cocktail. The Moon oversees our subconscious brain, the emotional drive behind our actions and reactions, our daily habits in nurturing ourselves, and how we maintain homeostasis internally.
When the Moon in Leo finds itself across from the Sun in Aquarius we may feel confident, self-assured, progressive, and inspired by universal love. This is an extremely positive time to express affection in love with all the warmth and sincerity in your heart. Leo is ruled by the Sun and loves to shine their light on whoever they keep in their hearts. This is a very romantic sign for the Moon to be in for Valentine’s day despite the winter winds of Aquarius season blowing cold, hard facts in our general direction.
Be mindful of anything hidden coming to light building up to the full moon.
The Full Moon in Leo will officially illuminate to its fullest potential on February 16th. This lunation will inspire us further to put action towards whatever changes we’ve been ruminating over during the retrograde transits of the last few weeks.
Full Moons typically represent endings or the completion of a cycle.
Leo rules over the heart and Aquarius’ mission is to reform and augment reality through their discoveries and vision. It will be clear what actions we are taking now that are unaligned with who we wish to become at our core. This is an ideal time to forfeit any fears related to self-expression, challenges around showing up authentically, or releasing egotistical, self-centered ideals.
This Full Moon will make a perfect square to the North and South nodes of fate, which have moved into the signs of Taurus and Scorpio respectively. Pay attention to the themes that are circulating within your life right now. There is a high probability of anything coming up now to resurface around the next eclipse season between the end of April and mid-May. This is considered a turning point especially for those with fixed placements (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius), Sun and Rising especially.

Remember emotion is energy in motion! In order to manifest your intentions, you must energetically align yourself with them by emotionally aligning with them. Think about the ways in which you hold limiting beliefs that keep you from achieving your potential. Under the light of the full moon, you have the opportunity to leave your limitations behind you and tap into the expansive Aquarius mindset, in which anything is possible.
Mercury assists us in this as on February 14th; planet of communication, connection, transit, technology, and the mind moves from stoic, authoritative Capricorn to rule-breaking, freedom-loving Aquarius.
As Mercury draws closer to where its retrograde transit began we will find ease around the mercurial areas of our lives. Air energy is about the mind, connection, and consciousness, so Mercury functions extremely well in the sign of Aquarius. This planetary shift will feel like a jolt of electricity in getting everything moving again.
Aquarius is the visionary, who sees the vastness of time as an endless opportunity to rebuild the world in a better, more benevolent way. When this sign is driving our communication centers we can reach new levels of intuition, ingenuity, and innovation with ease. We may cycle through things much quicker and communicate in a more spontaneous way. This transit is ideal for networking and building a strong community around you.
Alongside Mercury, Venus and Mars are walking hand-in-hand through Capricorn as Venus covers ground she has already crossed during Venus retrograde. This combination of planets in the sign of Capricorn marries our heart to our ambition. The coupling of this energy allows us to actualize grand accomplishment through our personal power and stride.
It’s time to put your money where your mouth is.
Venus’ journey through Capricorn alongside Mars is reminiscent of Aphrodite of Ancient Greece who was often worshipped as a goddess of war. Venus is careful, curated, and meticulous- think of this time these planetary bodies have left together in Capricorn as the strategy stage before the battle. Once each of these planets has shifted into Aquarius on March 6th, we should expect the pace to quicken and action to be more impulse-oriented.

For now, under the influence of Capricorn, Venus and Mars are taking turns leading one another through the Sea Goat’s earthy terrain. This inspires us to step up and take our commitments seriously. It's time to take action around what we’ve been working on since Venus retrograde in Capricorn entered its shadow in the end of November.
When Venus and Mars kiss on February 15th, it is an optimal time to jumpstart a goal you’ve been knocking around in your noggin for a while now. We have the green light from the universe to be laser-focused on our achievements under this aspect.
The Moon aspects the nodes of Fate on this same day making it an especially potent time to take action around your sense of purpose by aligning your dreams to your everyday actions. We may feel inspired to change course and find a new way to achieve goals that we couldn't see before.
Under the light of the full moon, there is often clarity offered. It can be quite sobering to see, maybe even shocking to some. The truth is often, we cannot make a change if we cannot see that change is necessary and the Universe very seldomly delivers this message in a whisper.
The Full Moon in Leo delivers this message with a ROAR.
The Nodes of Fate also make positive aspects to Pluto in Capricorn at this time. Where we find Pluto, we find a whirlwind of change. Pluto’s nature in Capricorn is to do away with excess, imbalances and transform our collective principles and methods of survival. Where the nodes of fate are present, there are areas ripe for karmic development.
With the North Node in Taurus making a trine and the South node in Scorpio forming a sextile to Pluto in Capricorn, we can find ease in opportunity to take back our personal power by doing away with excess. The North Node represents an unknown, whereas the South Node represents where we’ve already been. This is not a time to lean into fear of the unknown. The only way to rise above circumstances now is to walk along the unknown path.

Full Moons are emotionally high and the themes surfacing now are merely dipping a toe in an overall larger story playing out over the course of the next series of eclipses on April 30th and May 15th. Pay attention to what exits and enters your life at this moment. There are a lot of karmic players on the board which indicates this is a potent time to contribute to our collective healing by taking agency over ourselves and going with the universal flow that is being presented to us now.
It is important to understand in your healing journey, there is only so far you can go alone. The Aquarius sun encourages us to connect with the groups we individually exist within, whether it be family, friends, or co-workers, now is the time to show appreciation for those that offer support when you need it.
If this is something you struggle with, utilize the power of this full moon to release any pride around asking for or accepting help. This is not entirely uncommon in people who have learned through life’s experience that they “can only count on themselves” and lean into hyper independence. Under this transit, we can very clearly find the areas of life where we can lend help to others, allow others to help us, or find strength in breaking down the barriers we’ve built around our hearts.
The building up to the full moon is tense, but only because so many moving parts right now are directing us towards change. As the energy dissipates heading into Pisces season on February 18th, Jupiter makes a positive sextile aspect to Uranus.
This is the energetic climax of Aquarius season and one of the luckiest days of the whole month.
After we release what doesn’t serve us on the Full Moon this aspect invites in opportunity to spark inspiration through innovation. Jupiter expands whatever it touches and Uranus invites in change and disruption, only this time it’s helping us take our subconscious desires to manifest them into the physical reality.
Now that Aquarius season is winding down, we will be shifting gears from thinking to feeling as Pisces takes reign of the Sun. Under the Pisces Sun we will apply the conceptualization of the collective conscious and marry it to an understanding to our unconscious minds.
Where Aquarius connects each of us to one another, Pisces connects to a deeper level of collective energy that transcends the physical body.
Take this time between the Full Moon in Leo and the beginning of Pisces season to think about all the information you’ve received under the Aquarius Sun.
In what ways do you see the world differently now vs four weeks ago?
What changes have you been considering making and what steps have you taken in doing so?
Is there anything you need to release that I’ve mentioned here?
Take time to write it all out and if you’re feeling extra witchy burn your list to physically release it. Let the universe know you’re taking back your personal power, by declaring it already to be so.
