This astrology of this week is bright, beautiful, and groundbreaking.
On March 1st The Moon moves into Pisces, leading up to the New Moon phase on March 2nd. New Moons occur when the Sun and the Moon are found in the exact same position in the sky. This New Moon will occur at 12° Pisces.
This is fresh off of Venus, who is dancing with Mars in Capricorn forming a trine to the North Node in Taurus and a sextile to the South Node in Scorpio.
We may feel ready to make leaps and bounds around taking action towards some of our long-term goals. It is a favorable time to connect with others and share ideas. We may make fated connections or find support within the connections we already have. It is a good time to promote your business, negotiate contracts or explore within your network to find opportunities.
Venus and Mars are reaching the end of their stay in Capricorn and this culminates in a triple conjunction with Pluto on March 3rd. This is a boiling over of sorts, a cosmic climax that exudes the message these Capricorn planets have been drilling in all along.
It’s time to get serious, take action, and take back our power.
On the day of the New Moon, the Pisces Sun makes a sextile to Uranus in Taurus. Where we find aspects made to Uranus we find disruption, change, and the unexpected. When Uranus is supporting the Sun we are ready to leave our comfort zone. We may find ourselves pleasantly surprised now if we attempt to take steps in a new direction.
There is a certain electric quality to this energy that bursts with inspiration, creativity, and optimism. You can also expect sudden moments of clarity or solutions coming to you through your intuition. We have ample space and opportunity to flow with the tides of change under this influence.
If you are prone to stagnancy, try to keep an open mind!
Mercury in Aquarius conjoins Saturn on March 2nd, lending a sobering element to an otherwise hopeful collective energy. When our minds and Saturn meet, it can lead to creating an overwhelmingly high standard for ourselves. If we are too hard on ourselves now we may not be able to harness this transit for our own productivity and miss out on the benefits of having taskmaster Saturn connecting with our mental acuity.
Be sure to be kind to yourself and keep an attitude of gratitude!
It is time to get the work done but not at the expense of our mental or physical health. If we keep our focus on remaining positive, we can stand to achieve a lot more than we imagined! This transit is favorable for having serious discussions, especially in regards to helping others or any long-term goals.
New Moons are new beginnings and this one is potent with manifestation power as the Sun and Moon inch closer to Jupiter in Pisces. Jupiter’s primary function is to expand whatever it touches. You have full permission from the Universe right now to stretch your mind’s ability to believe in the impossible.
A strong theme for this New Moon is having faith in yourself as well as your beliefs. Pisces inspires us to reach beyond the physical limitations of the world and bring it to light.
With so much water energy taking center stage it would be impossible to not find our emotions at the forefront of what is driving our decision-making. It is important at this time to go with the flow of things and allow yourself to feel it out. Due to the boundless nature of Pisces, there may be a need to create structure around your next steps as well as accountability to see it through.
Due to the extreme nature of Pisces energy, this transit can lead to some intense emotions. If you find yourself in this position, don’t worry! Sometimes we find water as the gentlest of waves and other times the tsunami- either way it will pass.
Honor your feelings by seeing them through but don’t let them overwhelm you! Whenever I’m having an overwhelming feeling I like to try to change my energy by moving my body (a la yoga with Adrienne) or taking a nice hot shower (or bath if I have time).
Do whatever works best for you to find center! Even if it's just taking a second to take a few nice, slow, deep breaths before you move on to the next thing. You may feel called to take extra time for yourself. We are feeling extra sensitive to our environment and in order to disengage, it is advisable to spend extra time alone.
This is an ideal transit for journaling, meditating, or leaning on spiritual practices to remain grounded.
Be sure to pay attention to your dreams at this time! There may be important messages delivered to you via the subconscious state.
New Moons are a cosmic turning of a page and this one is giving us an opportunity to start a new chapter rooted in finding the deeper meaning of it all. This New Moon asks us to dream big and create manifestations based on our feelings. If you can imagine exactly how you will feel when you get what you want- consider it already yours.
