We have officially made it to the end of the zodiac cycle as we welcome in Pisces Season!
From February 18th until March 20th, Pisces ♓︎ takes reign of the Sun giving us further access to the cosmic consciousness of the universe.
The watery nature of Pisces is boundless.
Water is shapeless and can fit in many forms. These people change with the tides and flow from one experience to another. Water is the element of emotion and the soul. Under this influence, we are encouraged to allow ourselves to openly and honestly feel.
Pisces the fish is represented by two fish swimming in opposite directions bound together by an invisible chord. Much like this mutable waters sign’s ability to hold opposing ideologies as equally true, this symbol has many interpretations.
One fish can be seen as the physical body of man and the restraints of the tangible material world whereas the other is made of intangible concepts like emotion, imagination, or the subconscious and their limitlessness. Another depicts one fish as the consciousness of man and the other depicting the infinite unconsciousness of the universe being bound together in their opposition.
Water energy is creative, compassionate, understanding, empathetic, sensitive, psychic, romantic, and seeks to help others. Pisces can struggle with issues around romanticism, control, paranoia, overwhelming emotions, falling into a victim mentality, difficulty in asserting themselves, or being overly indulgent sensualists.
Under the light of the Pisces Sun, we may feel guided to reach our spiritual aspirations. This is an extremely positive time to begin a meditation practice or look into any other esoteric practices that can aid in your healing. We may desire to understand others more deeply and be of service to those in need.
Pisces seeks an understanding of what we cannot see through observing emotions and the universal experience.
As a Pisces Sun myself through my experience a major lesson for Pisces is creating a healthy relationship with boundaries. Whether that be establishing them yourself or accepting when others establish them for you. It is important at this time to honor yourself by creating strong boundaries around anything that makes you feel less than the beautiful, magical being that you are. Pisces Season is a time for us all to further explore the universal love Aquarius brought to the collective conscious.
Start by giving that love back to yourself by taking care of your physical, mental, and spiritual selves equally.
Pisces is the last sign of the zodiac and has come to terms with their own finite existence. There is a feeling of peace and surrender that we can access when we come to terms with our limitations.
Pisces feels in extremity, especially for others. Pisces is acutely aware of the total spectrum of the human condition. Because of this they can easily feel the weight of others’ emotional responses and wish to absorb and transmute negativity for those they keep in their hearts.
Being positive for the sake of others comes easily for Pisces, where making that same connection for themselves proves to be much more difficult.
Spend time this Pisces season noticing where you may act “sacrificial” towards others.
It is okay to feel for yourself.
It is okay to take up space for yourself.
It is okay to not do everything for other people.
It is okay to expend the same amount of energy you would on others, on yourself.
Due to the psychic nature of this Sun sign, it is extremely important to prioritize time for yourself to detox. Pisces are emotional sponges who absorb energy within their environment. When we take on the energy of others it can pollute the waters of our inner being. Building practices around taking time to recover is extremely important, even if it's something as simple as taking a long shower or bath. Water is the universal solvent and can dissolve all forms of unwanted energy as long as we marry that intention to it!
Similar to Aquarius, under the Pisces Sun, dreams can come true! Anything your heart believes can manifest into reality once we marry our intention to our action. You may find yourself being emotionally indulgent during Pisces season- not doing things because you “don’t feel like it”. As much as I encourage taking time for yourself it must be balanced with discipline and structure that must come from within (given our lack of support from the Sun especially).
Pisces' understanding of the subconscious mind makes now a time to be extra analytical with your dreams- especially around the New Moon in Pisces, March 2nd, and the Full Moon in Virgo, March 18th. Messages can come to us through dreams as well as music, symbols, or animals that deliver divine wisdom now but only if you’re paying attention.
This first week of Pisces season is rather quiet compared to the rest of the month. The Moon is Void-of-course in Virgo until this evening when she sashays into lovely Venus-ruled Libra. We may start off the day feeling frantic and critical of our levels of productivity until the moon shifts.
Once in Libra, we will really feel the dreamy, romantic Piscean aura this season has to offer us.
As Friday is Venus’ day this is an auspicious time to take a bath or take some time for self-care in whatever form pleases you. Buy yourself some flowers, drink your favorite wine, and indulge in a little sweetness from within as we welcome in Pisces Season 2022!
